This is the CD is the publication of the original music written and directed by John Sposito and used for the soundtrack of the documentary movie "DANTE the dream of a free Italy" by director Jesus Garcés Lambert and produced by GA&A for RAI Documentaries and co -production with
Artè and Artline Films.
This documentary movie was broadcasted on RaiDue in first viewing and in prime time on December 27th 2021 on the occasion of the 700th anniversary of his death.
On the occasion of this particular anniversary, there are several television and film productions that refer to this unforgettable character. Many of the things that history has handed down from his life are still to be understood and discovered and also to be interpreted. In this documentary movie signed by the director Jesus Garcés Lambert, shows the figure of the political DANTE who is mainly deepened and of the "dream" that already at that time, if it had been possible to realize it, could certainly have anticipated what several centuries later would have it been possible, for better or worse, to see Italy realized in this regard. All this, in that period that we call "Dantesco", under the influence of the violent and politically misleading clash between "Guelphs and Ghibellines" and also under the strong conditioning of the temporal power exercised by Popes and the high prelates of the time.
It is no coincidence that in the French and English versions the same documentary movie it is entitled, immediately after Dante's name, "Le divine politique" and "Divine politics".
John Sposito has created very suitable and beautiful music, following the directorial and cinematic storytelling needs without ever losing the even more emotional factor that certainly emerges in all its peculiarities in listening to the various pieces of music, beyond the images. In the respective foreign versions and for download and / or streaming sales only, front covers have been created with the title of the movie adapted to the language itself and therefore for the French "Dante le divine politique", for the English "Dante divine politics "And for German "Macht und dekadenz: DANTE und seine zeit".
The physical CD support of the soundtrack of the music has only the original title in Italian "Dante the dream of a free Italy".
